Deepika Padukone Agrees That Ranveer Singh Has A "Crazy Sense" Of Fashion Which Is Perfect For Met Gala

Along with Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone is one of the two representatives of India in Met Gala 2019 which took place last Monday in New York. While PeeCee was accompanied by her husband Nick Jonas, the Queen of Bollywood made her appearance without her fashionable husband Ranveer Singh. Fans all agree that it was such pity of not seeing ‘The King of Camp’ at the gala as he deserves to be there. Even Deepika is of the same mind.

His Campy Style Is The Perfect Fit Of The Event

In a backstage video of Vogue which followed Deepika to her makeup room, the actress showed the cameraman a picture of her husband in a super colorful shirt and a pair of shorts. The actress explained that her ‘hubby’ has a ‘crazy sense’ of fashion which is completely perfect for the Gala’s theme. “He’s the one person who would do 100% justice to the theme. But I am representing him,” said Deepika.

When being asked about their first met, Deepika said that it was on the film set romance which turned into real-life love. She also added that they had dated for six years before getting married last year.

Met Gala 2019’s theme was about "Camp: Notes on Fashion" which took inspiration from the filmmaker Susan Sontag. Her seminal essay in 1964 mentioned the phenomenon that won’t be talked about. The theme is also the basis of Costume Institute’s spring exhibition.
