“Dabangg 3”, starring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kichcha Sudeep and debutante Saiee Manjrekar, has been attracting family audiences in droves ever since its release.

Dabangg 3 was one of the most awaited films of the year, so when it hit the marquee on 20th December, the audience thronged theatres to watch Chulbul Panday once again on the silver screen. Starring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kichcha Sudeep and debutante Saiee Manjrekar in important roles, the film has been doing terrific business at the box-office ever since entering cinemas.

Having said that, Dabangg 3 did suffer minor losses due to the ongoing CAA-NRC protests in various parts of the country. As per trade pundits, the film could have easily crossed the much-coveted Rs. 100 crore mark had there been no protests in important territories. But nothing could stop the die-hard fan of Salman Khan from reaching theatres even amid protects. Resultantly, the movie showed a huge jump on its third day of release.

Dabangg 3 managed to rake in Rs. 24.50 crore and Rs. 24.75 crore on the first two days of its theatrical release. However, the numbers witnessed a big jump on Sunday when it went on to pocketing an impressive collection of Rs.31.90 crore. The total box-office collection of the film currently stands at Rs. 81.15 crore. Despite protects, Dabangg 3 has made much more in its opening weekend than the previous two instalments of the franchise. While Dabangg (2010) earned Rs 48.5 crores over the first weekend, Dabangg 2 (2012) managed to rack up Rs 65 crores.

The performance of the film at the cash counter on Monday will be a crucial indicator to predict how it will fare in the coming week. However, collections are expected to see a spike once again on 25th December owing to Christmas holiday across the country.
