Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the entire industry of Bollywood was put to a halt with no movie was produced nor released during the past months. To ensure the safety for the public, these 8 Bollywood upcoming movies will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar this year, along with some other Hollywood movies as Trolls World Tour, The King of Staten Island, and Artemis Fowl.

Especially, in this list of Bollywood upcoming movies on Disney+ Hotstar is the final movie of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput who ended his life on June 14, 2020.

Dil Bechara – Last movie of Sushant Singh Rajput

Before leaving this world, the late talented Sushant Singh Rajput had made his final film Dil Bechara with Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan. The movie finished its filming shortly before the death of the Bollywood actor. (Read about Sushant Singh Rajput death details here)

Dil Bechara was directed by Mukesh Chhabra, based on the famous novel by John Green named The Fault in Our Stars. The plot tells a beautiful love story of a man and woman with thyroid cancer, which has taken tears of million audience when it’s transferred into an American movie in 2014.

Dil Bechara was first set to be released on May 8 but then delayed due to Covid-19. There hasn’t been an announcement on the official date this last movie of Sushant will go streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, but reliable sources reveal that it will be soon published on this platform, perhaps within June-July.

Laxmmi Bomb – Upcoming movie of Akshay Kumar

Laxmmi Bomb is among the long-awaited upcoming movies of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in this year. The thriller was a Bollywood remake of Muni 2 – a Tamil movie. It revolves around a man named Raaghav (played by Akshay Kumar) who was possessed by a transgender spirit.

Laxmmi Bomb will be a journey of revenge on those bullying then murdering the transgender woman. Its filming has just finished in March 2020.

The movie will go streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on exactly Indian Independence Day on August 15, 2020. Remember to note it down!

Sadak 2 – The comeback of Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt

Sadak 2 is clearly among the most anticipated Bollywood upcoming movies in 2020 when seeing the co-starring of Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The movie was first scheduled to premiere on July 11 in cinema but then changed to a streaming release.

No date specified for its streaming schedule but it’s probably on the same day with its original theatrical release plan.

Bhuj: The Pride of India – Another project by Sanjay Dutt

Another Sanjay-Dutt-starrer will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar this year is Bhuj: The Pride of India. The movie gathers an ensemble case from Ajay Devgn to Nora Fatehi, promising a successful film when release. Its first release date is 14 August and this might also be the time it’s streamed online.

Bhuj: The Pride of India was written and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, exploiting stories of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Given the intensity in the current relationship of India & Pakistan, this movie could become a hit when premiered.

The Big Bull – A thrilling biographical crime movie

If you’re a fan of crime movies, you must note this. The Big Bull will be released online instead of presenting in cinemas on October 23 as planned initially.

The Big Bull was produced by Ajay Devgn with the direction of Kookie Gulati. The biographical financial crime film features Abhishek Bachchan in lead role while the two hot actresses Nikkita Dutta and Ileana D’ Cruz are in supporting roles.

Mimi – Story of a surrogate mother

Mimi is a remake of Marathi 2011 movie named Mala Aai Vhhaychy! The Bollywood version would feature Kriti Sanon as protagonist, a surrogate mother, and Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar in other important roles.

Mimi was directed by Lazman Utekar and is scheduled to go public next month (July, 2020).

Shiddat: Journey Beyond Love

The romantic drama film Shiddat: Journey Beyond Love is produced under the co-operation of T-Series and Maddock Films. The movie is directed by Kunal Deshmukh and features Radhika Madan and Sunny Kaushal in lead roles.

When the movie completes its filming, it already knew its destiny of a digital release due to coronavirus. There’s no information on the exact date, but Shiddat will be definitely streaming on Disney+Hotstar very soon.

Lootcase – A rare Bollywood comedy after Covid-19

The last of Bollywood upcoming movies on Disney+Hotstar is Lootcase, a comedy drama by Rajesh Krishnan. It was first planned to go public on April 10 but delayed to no specific time.

Lootcase has the appearance of Kunal Khemu and Rasika Dugal in lead roles. The movie was produced and distributed by Fox Star Studios.
