Bollywood Stars Respond To PM Modi’s Voting Appeal: Absolutely Right, Sir!

Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar have agreed to PM Modi’s appeal and pledged to engage as many citizens to General Elections 2019.

With less than a month left for the Lok Sabha polls to begin, PM Modi, who is a prolific tweeter on social media, has tagged almost every Bollywood celebrity while urging them to spread awareness about elections among their fans. And soon after PM Modi's tweet, a lot of big names in Bollywood industry have responded to his appeal.

Karan Johar took to his Twitter and wrote, “We as a fraternity are dedicated to the cause of creating high voter awareness and will make sure every endeavor is made to communicate the power of voting for a solid and Democratic India! Jai Hind!” Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar tweeted,

While Deepika remains yet to respond, both of the other actresses, Alia Bhatt and Anushka Sharma acceded to his humble request and took to their platform and reminded their fans of the importance of voting.

The final dates of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, to be held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19 across the country, were announced on Sunday. The counting of votes will take place on May 23, 2019.
