How much Bhumi Pednekar was paid for her super hit?

In a recent interview, Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar once again shared about the gender bias in the film industry though it has incredible improvement in recent years.

Not only the gender bias which has been a thorny issue, the paid gaps also made huge problem in Bollywood. The 30-year-old actress who headlined box office with hit Bala recently revealed during her early years in the entertainment industry, she was paid only 5% of what was given to her male colleagues.

However, she further added that the situation has much improvement along with the development in the Hindi film and women's empower movement. And nowadays the space to experiment and the opportunity in Bollywood has grown like never before. Bhumi Pednekar was quoted as saying:

Talking about her brownface appearance in film which attracted much flak from all quarters, the actress admitted she used to be body-shamed when she was a kid.

Meanwhile, Bala is continuing its amazing run at the cinema. The film has collected a whopping amount of Rs 50 crores within four days since it hit the box office.

Bhumi's co-star, Ayushmann Khurranak, also basking in the success of the film after delivering a series of hit such as Dream Girl, Badhaai Ho, Adndhadhun... 

On the work front, Bhumi will soon to be seen in Oati Patni Aur Woh which starring Kartik Aaryan and young actress Ananya Panday.
