Bhumi Pednekar On Playing An Older Woman: "I Was Never Hesitant About How I Look On Screen"

Bhumi Pednekar, who will be seen in Saand Ki Aankh with Taapsee Pannu, says she was not hesitant to play a character that is twice her age.

During a recent interview, Bhumi Pednekar, who has wowed everyone with her incredible transformation as an older woman in Saand Ki Aankh alongside Taapsee Pannu, shares that she was not afraid of taking on a role that is much older than her real age.
Bhumi further stated that she had worked so hard to step into the shoes of an older character entirely.
While Bhumi Pednekar has carved a name for herself in the industry with numerous successful movies like Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Toilet Ek prem Katha, the beautiful actress “is still too shy to admit that she is one bankable actor.”
Talking about her upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh, it is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and is based on the inspiring real-life story of the world's oldest sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar.
Bhumi will be essaying 87-year-old sharpshooter Chandro Tomar while Taapsee Pannu will be playing the role of her 82-year-old sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar. The teaser of the much-awaited movie was already dropped online.
On the work front, is currently shooting for Mudassar Aziz’s Pati Patni Aur Woh in which she will be sharing the screen space with Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan for the first time. The film revolves around a married couple and how things change when the husband gets involved with his secretary.
Apart from that, Bhumi Pednek also has several exciting projects in the pipeline namely Alankrita Shrivastava's Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Amar Kaushik's Bala and Bhanu Pratap Singh's Bhoot - Part One: The Haunted Ship.
