Ankita Lokhande, who is known for her popular television character Archana Deshmukh in the Ekta Kapoor-produced hit soap opera Pavitra Rishta, was at the peak of popularity when she decided to quit television and made a crossover to Bollywood.
After a long wait, the actress made her silver screen debut with the big-ticket historical drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019), starring Kangana Ranaut in the titular role of warrior queen Rani Laxmibai. Despite having a brief role in the period drama, Ankita Lokhande managed to impress one and all with her powerful performance.
The latest news coming in about the actress is that she has now bagged another interesting film. Yes, you heard it right! Ankita Lokhande has signed up to play an important character in the upcoming action entertainer Baaghi 3. While the film stars Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles, Ankita Lokhande has come onboard to play the latter’s sister.
Baaghi 3, which is the third instalment of the immensely successful action franchise Baaghi, is being helmed by Ahmed Khan. "Actress Ankita Lokhande roped in for the third instalment of Baaghi franchise. Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson of Sajid Nadiadwala," the announcement read.
Baaghi 3 went on the shooting floor recently. The actress is expected to join Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor on the sets of the film soon. The movie, which is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, is set to hit the big screen next year in 2020.
