After nearly three decades, the pair will reprise their roles in the sequel and fans are eager to see them recreating their magic. The much-awaited Mahesh Bhatt directorial also features Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in the pivotal roles and is slated to hit the cinema on March 25, 2020.
Interestingly, while director Mahesh Bhatt has worked with his older daughter Pooja in many movies such as Sadak, Zakhm, Sir, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin and 90s like Daddy, this is his first collaboration with his younger daughter Alia.
Alia and Pooja father's Mahesh Bhatt, who helmed several films such as Chaahat, Naam, Saaraansh, and Arth, decided to leave the director's chair in 1999 after wrapping his movie Kartoos. In September, Pooja Bhatt took to her social media handles to announce her father’s return to direction after a long gap. She posted one promo video on her Twitter where Alia can be heard humming in the background.
Apart from Sadak 2, Alia Bhatt also has several projects in the pipeline. The 26-year-old actress is now busy promoting her forthcoming film 'Kalank' opposite Varun Dhawa, which is all set to release on 17th April.
After that, she will be seen sharing the screen space for the first time with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni and is slated to release in December 2019.
