Akshay Kumar On His New Film "Mission Mangal": "This Is The Film I Am Most Proud Of"

Akshay Kumar has recently opened up about "Mission Mangal" at the movie trailer's launch, saying he had goosebumps when he heard about how Mars Orbiter Mission was completed.

On Thursday, actor Akshay Kumar unveiled that he literally had chills when hearing about how Mangalyaan aka Mars Orbiter Mission was completed. The 51-year-old actor shared his thoughts at the launch of Mission Mangal trailer’s launch in Mumbai.

Mission Mangal is made based on the true events of India’s 2014 Mars Mission. The movie also sees the participation of Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menen.

The film centers the tale of ISRO’s scientists (Indian Space Research Organisation) wholeheartedly devoted to the probe of discovering Mars MOM. It was the mark for India’s first intergalactic expedition. Akshay further said, dedicating the movie to the women that were behind the huge project,

The actor portrayed the Director of the Mission in the film. He said that he hadn’t known Mangalyaan only cost 450 crores.
