Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are close friends who have worked together on a couple of successful films in the past. In the past few years, however, the two have not done any film together. Instead, they keep locking horns with each other by releasing their films on the same date.
Mission Mangal (2019), the recent release of superstar Akshay Kumar, clashed with the John Abraham starrer Batla House (2019) on Independence Day.
Even in 2018, the two clashed on the same date when Kumar’s sports film Gold and Abraham’s vigilante action film Satyamev Jayate released on Independence Day.
And now, we hear that Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are gearing up for yet another box-office clash on I-Day 2020. While Abraham is set to release his much-awaited film Satyamev Jayate 2 on Independence Day 2020, Akshay Kumar is also planning to drop one of his upcoming films on the same date.
But before Independence Day 2020, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are set to lock horns on Eid 2020. According to reports, John Abraham’s gangster film Mumbai Saga may enter theatres on the same date as Kumar’s horror-comedy Laxmmi Bomb.
At the moment, Mumbai Saga is scheduled to roll into theatres on June 19.
Only time will tell whether or not the clash between the two box-office titans is indeed happening.
