Ajay Devgn To Return With A Sequel To His 2018 Hit “Raid”?

After delivering two successful movies in 2019 – Total Dhamaal and De De Pyaar De – superstar Ajay Devgn is set to begin 2020 with the release of his most ambitious film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Helmed by Om Raut, the upcoming historical drama also features Saif Ali Khan and Kajol in lead roles. The movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 10^th January 2020.

After Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ajay Devgn will be seen in T-Series Films’ Bhuj: The Pride of India. Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubati and debutante Pranitha Subhash in important roles, the movie is slated to hit screens on 14^th August 2020. Bhuj: The Pride of India will soon be followed up by his much-awaited sports film Maidaan, which is being helmed by Amit Sharma of Badhaai Ho (2018) fame.

The National Film Award winning South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh is paired opposite the actor in the film. It reaches cinemas on 27^th November 2020.

The latest we hear that the superstar has given his nod to topline a sequel to his 2018 hit Raid wherein he played the character of an honest Income Tax officer. A well-placed source in the know informs an entertainment portal that Ajay Devgn has liked the narration of Raid 2 and has requested the makers to develop the concept.

The source says that the makers of Raid 2 recently had a meeting with Ajay Devgn and narrated the concept of the film along with its premise to him. The superstar, who received overwhelming response for his performance in Raid, liked what he heard and has since requested that they flesh out the entire script and screenplay of the venture.
