Abhimanyu Singh is about to play the pivotal antagonist opposite Akshay Kumar in the forthcoming movie Sooryavanshi directed by filmmaker-director Rohit Shetty. Abhimanyu confirmed this news and shared with Mumbai Mirror,
He continued that Rohit enjoyed his performance in the movie so much and believed that Singh would be suitable for playing a baddie in his film.
Abhimanyu is also a quite familiar face of Bollywood with several successful movies including Jannat, Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara!, Mom, and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The Teheran actor first appeared in 2001 film Aks which also features Manoj Bajpayee and Amitabh Bachchan.
Let’s look back on his greatest performance up to now:
Gulaal
In the movie Gulaal directed by Anurag Kashyap, Abhimanyu Singh acted as Rananjay “Ransa” Singh - a prince working against his father’s ideologies. One of the most impressive features of his character is none other than his courageous personality.
Mom
Abhimanyu played the role of a rapist who was engaged in a conflict with a character played by Sridevi. The climax was that despite destroying and raping Sajal Ali, he still keeps on to hunt the whole family to kill them.
Rakta Charitra
In Rakta Charitra directed by Ram Gopal Varma, Singh continued to act as an onscreen bad man with the character Rajidi Bukka Reddy. Rakta Charitra portrays him as a ruthless person who doesn’t budge when raping females and killing people brutally.
Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela
Without a doubt, Abhimanyu is one of India’s worst men when he often played the leading antagonist in many films, including Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. In this movie, the actor acted as Meghji Bhai - the elder brother of Ranveer Singh, and he had to suffer from death caused by Kanji Bhai, his arch enemy in a shooting game.
