Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan has made her directorial debut with her play "Medea" in Mumbai on Saturday last week.

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan has recently debuted as a director with her play named Medea. The famous actor of Bollywood has sent his blessing and the best advice to his child, wishing her the best luck in the first stage of her career. Ira’s play was out two days ago in Mumbaai.

It seems that Aamir aspires that his daughter plunges head-on in the creative mass. Medea is the play of the ancient Greek genre, centering around the preconceived revenge of a woman against the husband who cheated on her. The play features actress Hazel Keech, Yuvraj Singh’s spouse, as the main character.

During the preparation for her play, Ira Khan had taken to her social media handles many pictures. Among those, in one snap she can be seen sprawling on the floor probably to give guidance to her actors.

Talking about choosing a Euripides’ play to be her first, Ira had shared with a leading lady in a conversation that it’s because Medea is not only classic but also has a very appealing script. The play is complex and has many layers. What she liked most is something such ancient is helmed by a young person and it is nice to look into it via the lens of youngsters.

She also opened up on her fondness for directing. She had always found it more enthusiastic and comfortable to work backstage or offscreen over working in the front. She has never aspired to act in any film aside from an action one in which she can learn the cool stunts.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is occupied with filming for his new film Laal Singh Chaddha, the Hindi remake of Forrest Gump. He can be seen with his tired look and disheveled tanned in Jaisalmer. The actor was appreciated as he dedicated big time for the craft and on the Internet, Aamir is also referred to as Mr. Perfectionist.
