Aamir Khan comes back to Mogul after Subhash Kappor's Exit

As the #MeToo campaign has received lots of support in Bollywood, Aamir Khan is not an exception. He strongly opposes sexual harassment emerging from the industry. He proves his support by walking out of Gulshan Kumar’s biopic named Mogul that he co-produced with Bhushan Kumar. The reason is that the film’s director, Subhash Kapoor is accused of having sexual misconduct.

Actress Geetika Tyagi accused the director of Jolly LLB, Subhash Kapoor, of having sexual misconduct with her in 2014. She posted a video of her allegation on Youtube and received support from director Atul Sabharwal. This also created a wave of protest in the Indian film industry.

Aamir Khan and his wife, Kiran Rao, strongly oppose sexual harassment. Therefore, they believe that this action has to stop and they will do everything to make the film industry safe.

However, there are rumors that Aamir Khan is considering to return Mogul after Subhash Kapoor withdraws from this film.

Besides, Bhushan Kuman, a T-series head honcho, also decided to stop cooperation with director Subhash Kapoor

So, now the question is will Aamir Khan comeback to Mogul?

According to Mumbai Mirror, he will return to this film after Subhash Kapoor's exit from the project.

A reliable source revealed that the script is quite familiar with Aamir so he really wants to make this film. He had considered and made a final decision that he will return to this film. Now, they are looking for a new director and finalizing the cast. They are making every effort to roll with the film as soon as possible.

On the work front, Aamir Khan’s new movie, Thugs of Hindostan, is about to come out on November 8th. The film stars with Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

#MeToo movement has begun with terrible sexual harassment stories in this industry. There are many actresses reported that their own directors had sexually harassed them. In 2004, Starlet Preeti Jain accused filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar of raping her for many years. In 2011, actress Payal Rohatgi revealed that she lost her role because she refused to her director’s request.

Some female artists and actresses recounted their #MeToo stories on social media and interviews. They are willing to name and shame the harassers. Top film celebrities such as Alok Nath, Sajid Khan, Rajat Kapoor, Vikas Bahl and Subhash Ghai have recevied allegations from female stars.
