Aamir Khan & Kareena Shoot A Romantic Song For “Laal Singh Chaddha”

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are set to grace the silver screen after a long gap of eight years. The duo, who was last seen together in writer-director Reema Kagti’s supernatural thriller Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (2012), is currently working together on the much-awaited Bollywood film Laal Singh Chaddha.

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been shooting around 100 locations across India. Recently, the two completed filming another romantic song in Punjab. Titled Jugnu, the song has been composed by Pritam while lyrics have been provided by award-winning lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya. After wrapping up the song shoot, Kareena Kapoor Khan returned to Mumbai. The actress, who was last seen in Dharma Productions’ comic-caper Good Newwz (2019), has been juggling Mumbai and Punjab for her shoots.

Laal Singh Chaddha is being helmed by Advait Chandan who made his directorial debut with Aamir Khan Productions’ Secret Superstar (2017). Thanking music composer Pritam and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya, the director said that they had a blast shooting Jugnu which is a feel-good romantic song with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The filmmaker said that the two actors have such amazing chemistry that he did not want to call cut! He added that he cannot wait for people to watch the song and that he has half a mind of leaking it himself.

Written by actor-writer Atul Kulkarni and directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump, featuring superstar Tom Hanks in the lead role. Apart from playing the title role, Aamir Khan is also co-producing the remake in association with Viacom18 Studios. The movie, which is being shot at a brisk pace, is slated to arrive in cinemas during Christmas 2020.
