3 Best ‘Policemen’ Of B-Town Arrive At Sooryavanshi Trailer Launch, But Limelight Stealer Is Another One

After months of waiting with bated breath, the trailer of hotly anticipated cop drama Sooryavanshi (Suryavanshi) was unveiled amid massive fanfare in Mumbai yesterday. The upcoming action film is helmed by Rohit Shetty who is typically touted as a mogul in the police-themed film universe. Sooryavanshi which is also the fourth installment that follows the success of the three previous box office hit features Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar in the title role alongside Katrina Kaif. The actress will step into the shoes of a doctor in the film.

Rohit Shetty-directorial Sooryavanshi also stars Gulshan Grover, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff among many others. Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn reprise their roles as Simmba and Singham from the previous parts of the franchise in cameo appearances. Karan Johar is co-producing the film under the banner Dharma Productions.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s character was introduced towards the end of Ranveer’s character Simmba who will serve as a character introduction of Suryavanshi. The actor will portray the role of DCP Veer Sooryavanshi who is the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad.

Akshay could be seen arriving in style in a bike at the trailer launch event. He opted for an all-black ensemble including a tee-shirt with the words “Aa rahi hai police” printed on it mixed with matching-color pants and jacket. Director Rohit Shetty, on the other hand, made a grand entry in his high-end yellow car. He, too, donned a t-shirt with the same words with Akshay’s.

Katrina once again gave off the diva vibe at the trailer launch event of Suryavanshi. Donning an orange bodycon dress which perfectly flaunts her curves, Katrina managed to make heads turn.
