'83 First Look: Ranveer Singh To Be The Captain Of A Star-studded Cricket Team

A sport drama that he has been waiting for so long!

Following a sequence of a stellar performance from Padmavaat, Simmba to Gully Boy, Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh has jumped into a new project tilted ‘83. Helmed by director Kabir Khan, the movie tells the story of how the national cricket team along with their legendary captain Kapil Dev won the World Cup of 1983.

Apart from Ranveer Singh who plays Kapil Dev, other A-listers also join the team to relive the story of victory. The Gully Boy actor recently took a photo of the whole star cast to his Instagram, telling how excited he is waiting for the film to release next year. ‘83 will hit the theatre next on April 10, 2020, exactly a year ahead.

'83 Is More Than Just Cricket

The shooting schedule for ‘83 is going to start from May 15, and the first part will take place in Scotland and London. Ranveer Singh cannot get more thrilled talking about the sports drama. According to the main lead, he was born at the same time when cricket was the king of sports. Kabir Sahab‘s ‘83 is exactly the type of film he’s been waiting for. It was even more than excitement as the film is not about cricket itself, but it is also a touching story of humanity.
