After all, chemo not only kills the cancer cells but also destroys your good cells. It's all pushing you to stay in that way."
The veteran actress Nafisa recently shared a new picture from her recent portfolio shot and talking about her work she said, "I just wanted to tell my industry that I am well now and cancer-free. I don't have much hair on my head, so in my roles, maybe, I will not wear a wig. If there's a role for me, as a comatose patient, Sadhu, a Buddhist monk or anything. Somewhere the message has to empower people, I always try to find a role that gives me inspiration and right now, I need inspiration. I need love, support, and positive energy and I need to get up and start doing things. I am not a patient anymore, I just want to celebrate my life."
Nafisa Ali Sodhi is trying to spread positive vibes and thoughts on her social media platforms. She also shared why she has been posting positive messages on social media. "I find that people seem to be hiding whatever problem they have. I was so determined that I will not hide it, because my journey may help somebody else. And honest to god I get calls from all over the world - people who have been diagnosed with cancer call me from all over, even people I don't know. They discuss with me, how did you feel, how did you overcome and what gives you strength. So I share my strength with others," she said.
Talking about donning a wig for a film onscreen for her role, Nafisa just replied with a polite note. She said, "Because I don't believe in all this. This is not how I am, I don't want to look like someone else. I mean because I don't want to act like someone else, that's how I feel. Maybe a director will give me his prerogative and it will change".
