Prashanth Roped In To Headline “Andhadhun” Remake

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte in lead roles, Andhadhun was one of the most successful films of 2018. It recently won Nation Award for Best Actor for Ayushmann Khurrana.

Prashanth has been roped in to play the lead role in the official remake of Bollywood blockbuster Andhadhun (2018). Headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte, Andhadhun was one of the most successful films of 2018, which also won several awards at the recently announced National Film Awards.

The remake rights of the Sriram Raghavan were much sought after in Kollywood. Tamil superstar Dhanush and Siddharth had also expressed their interest in remaking the film. However, it is Tamil actor Prashanth who has finally bagged the lead role in the much-talked-about remake.

Thiagarajan informs that Prashanth will step into Ayushmann Khurrana’s role for the remake. The rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon.

He feels that Prashanth will fit the bill perfectly as he is a trained pianist.

Interestingly, the father-son duo has already remade a Sriram Raghavan directorial titled Johnny Gaddaar (2007), which launched Neil Nitin Mukesh in Bollywood. However, the remake failed to live up to the humongous expectations of the audience at the box-office.
