'I Enjoy Being A Part Of Multistarrers,' Said Actor Akshay Tanksale

Actor Akshay reveals that portraying Rangya was a huge challenge. It stands to reason he had to put a lot of effort into it.

Akshay Tanksale is one among a few actors who are not worried about how long their character will play or the number of actors in their film. The actor is just curious about how audiences react his character Rangya in the film Gatmat. Akshay in a statement shared that when he was offered Gatmat, he was initially asked to play Baglya instead. He then requested if he could play any character else. The actor explained that the grasp of Baglya was similar to what he has done before and Rangya, by contrast, is shy, constantly anxious and not confident at all.

After a discussion with the filmmaker, he decided to make a radical change. Actor Akshay reveals that portraying Rangya was a huge challenge. It stands to reason he had to put a lot of effort into it. The Poshter Girl star shared he has played confident, crazy and outspoken so far. However, the demand and the approach of this film was diametrically opposed.

The actor added he had to hold himself back and stay calm. Though, according to Akshay, it was also a challenging yet exciting experience.

Having a solid theatre background supports an actor tremendously. Indeed, Akshay has been stick with theatre for over a decade. The actor said he has brought everything he learned from theatre to his movies as it could help him get a more powerful grip on his work in films. The actor further added the idea is similar, all he needs to do is to not make mistakes, try to remember the dialogues properly and eventually give it the best shot.

Akshay is about to be seen in Basta, Satarcha Salman, Mulshi Pattern and Ashil Udyog Mitra Mandal. “I enjoy being a part of multistarrers,” says he. The actor added there are a bunch of things to give and take with these sets as he can learn from veteran actors and have a chance to observe the younger as well.

The actor then stated if he does not respect what he has been offered that comes his way, he thinks he will be soon out of work. “It is important to respect and understand your profession,” says Akshay.
