First Poster Of "Darbar" Is Reveal, Fans Are Excited To See Rajinikanth’s First Cop Film After 25 Years

The first image of the film Thalaiva 167, which is now titled Darbar is finally revealed, and it immediately became the hot topic for the fans. Darbar is also the main character of the film, which is played by superstar Rajinikanth. This is the first cop role that Rajinikanth plays in 25 years after he played as a cop in several films including Moondru Mugam in 1983, Kodi Parakuthu in 1988 and Pandiyan in 1992. He also appeared in a cop film called Hum, which featured Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film Darbar is expected to be released in 2020. Actress Nayanthara has confirmed to star opposite Rajinikanth in the movie. Although there weren’t many details revealed yet, some photo from the set of the film was leaked, and maybe that’s why the production team decided to share the first poster of the film. And right after the first poster was shared, it went viral on Twitter and even became a top trend.

In the poster, we can see Rajinikanth in police uniform, looking so cool with some weapons and even a police dog behind him. It’s definitely going to be a supermassive cop film of Bollywood that you shouldn't miss. The Gateway of India also appears in the background, so it’s likely that the story of the film will be unfolded in the Mumbai city. The last time Rajinikanth filmed in Mumbai was for the film Kaala Karikaalan, which received mixed reviews from the critics and the audience.

This is the third time that Rajinikanth and Nayanthara appear together in a film, after collaborating in Chandramukhi (2005) and Kuselan (2008). The music of Darbar will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who also produced the excellent music for Petta. He is regarded as the hitmaker of Bollywood when every song he releases immediately became a big hit.
