Dhanush Set To Join Forces With Filmmaker Selvaraghavan Again?

Dhanush, who won rave reviews for an endearing performance in his Hollywood debut “The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir” (2019), is rumoured to be teaming up with filmmaker brother Selvaraghavan once again.

Dhanush received rave reviews for delivering an endearing performance in his recently released movie, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir (2019), which marked his debut in Hollywood. Though the Ken Scott affair did not leave the cash registers jingling at the box-office, it did warm the cockles of Dhanush’s diehard fans’ hearts all across the world.
The latest news about the Tamil superstar is that he might join forces with his filmmaker brother Selvaraghavan once again for a sequel to their hit gangster film, Pudhupettai (2006).
Reports about a sequel to the much-loved movie have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. But if sources are to be believed, the project may materialize soon.
Reportedly, Dhanush will start work on the sequel right after wrapping up action drama, Asuran, and the next directorial of Mari Selvraj.
Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, who is bankrolling Asuran, is rumored to be producing Pudhupettai 2 also. However, an official confirmation from the actor or director is highly awaited before ascertaining the development.
Dhanush is expected to wrap up Asuran soon. He plays dual roles of father and son in the film. Also starring Manju Warrier, Prakash Raj and Pasupathy, the movie is being directed by Vetrimaaran. It marks the Tamil debut of actress Manju Warrier. The superstar will then move on the complete his next with Mari Selvraj.
He has also initiated the process to acquire the remake rights of Sriram Raghavan’s superhit dark-comedy suspense thriller, Andhadhun (2018), which surprised everyone with its terrific performance at the box-office.
The movie starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte in lead roles. Dhanush is yet to confirm whether or not he will headline the remake.
