Anushka Shetty Onboard To Topline The Remake Of Spanish Thriller “Julia’s Eyes”?

Anushka Shetty, one of the most sought-after female actresses in Telugu cinema, was last seen in horror film Bhaagamathie (2018). She is currently shooting for two high-profile films, namely Silence and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.

Silence is a multilingual film which is being shot in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, Kannada, and Malayalam. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, on the other hand, is a historical war drama helmed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan.

The latest we hear that Anushka Shetty has bagged one more big film. According to reports, the actress has been roped in to play the female lead in the remake of a Spanish film called Julia’s Eyes.

If reports are indeed true, then Anushka Shetty will be seen in the character of a girl who has the degenerative disease. She is haunted by the death of her younger sister.

Though the details on the upcoming project are being kept under the wrap, sources say that debutant Kabir Lal will call the shots for it. Lal has previously worked as a cinematographer on several films down South. Things are currently at the early stage and an official announcement will be made when everything is locked.

We hear that a popular production house will bankroll the film in Tollywood. The remake will be a bilingual film simultaneously remade in Telugu and Tamil.

Meanwhile, the audience is waiting to see Anushka Shetty in her next Silence, which is called Nishabdam in Telugu. The thriller, which is being directed by filmmaker Hemant Madhukar, stars R. Madhavan as her love interest. Nishabdam reunites the Madhavan and Anushka after a huge gap of 13 years.

The duo has previously shared the screen space in the 2006 action-comedy Rendu. Michael Madsen, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivasa Avasarala also play important roles in the upcoming film.
