The leaked private pictures of actress Akshara Haasan were surfaced online on November 5. She then pushed a social media handle in order to respond to the incident by sharing a statement on Wednesday.
Akshara, in the statement, expressed her concern and hurt about her current leaked pictures on the Internet. The actor said that who is the culprit and why is not known to her yet. The actor further added she does know that this incident is relatively unfortunate for a young girl who becomes the victim of an act serving only for the enjoyment of a pervert.
Sharing her thought, Akshara kept stating that whenever she sees someone sharing those pictures with eye-catching headlines to draw attraction, it scars her deeper. It also adds more people to her harassment and helplessness.
However, the pictures were speculated that it was morphed, but the actress, also in the statement, affirmed they were completely original. The actor continued it is deeply disturbing and upsetting to witness that when the whole state has woken up with #metoo movement. Some people would still harass and try to share a young girl’s private pictures in order to gain some pleasure appealing only to them.
Akshara also informed that she has filed a complaint at Mumbai police as well as the cyber cell team to detect who is the culprit. She added she can only request that everyone should learn how to live and let live with privacy and dignity. Ending the statement, she hoped the public will not continue participating in her harassment.
Her sister Shruti Haasan also came out in support by retweeting her statement online. Her father Kamal Haasan also left a comment to support her.
On the work front, Akshara is occupied with her upcoming film project Kadaram Kondan.
