Ajay Devgn Charges No Fees For Guest Appearance In “RRR”?

Rumours that Ajay Devgn will be charging a humongous amount for his guest appearance in celebrated filmmaker S.S Rajamouli’s forthcoming magnum opus RRR have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, the Bollywood superstar is not taking a single penny from the makers of the movie. He is, in fact, working in the film for free.

An entertainment portal reports that when S.S. Rajamouli approached Ajay Devgn for a guest appearance in his film, the filmmaker offered the superstar the same amount which they are paying to the male leads of the film, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. However, Devgn did not accept the offer and decided to work without charging his renumeration.

A source in the know reveals that Ajay Devgn did not want a single penny for his guest appearance in the much-awaited film. The source goes on to add that the producers were even willing to pay him his full market price for the guest role. However, Ajay said that he would rather not take any fee for this friendly appearance for a friend.

Rajamouli and Devgn’s friendship goes back a long way. They first met each other after the former’s fantasy action film Eega (2012) was dubbed and released in Hindi as Makkhi. Ajay Devgn loved that film to no end and wanted Rajamouli to make a Hindi movie for him. The two are finally joining hands together 8 years after the release of Makkhi. Besides Ajay Devgn, reigning Bollywood queen Alia Bhatt will also be seen in a special cameo in the upcoming film.

Made on a colossal budget of Rs. 350-400 crores, RRR is produced by DVV Entertainment. The film is scheduled to hit the marquee on 8^th January, 2021 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Keep visiting this space for more entertainment updates.
