“Action Hero Biju” Sequel On The Cards In Malayalam?

“Action Hero Biju” is one of the most successful Malayalam-language police procedural films. Released in 2016, the movie was directed, co-written and co-produced by Abrid Shine.
Action Hero Biju, which hit the marquee in the year 2016, is regarded as one of the most successful police procedural films in Malayalam cinema. Headlined by Nivin Pauly, the movie did not only impress critics, but also performed really well at the ticket counter. Directed, co-written and co-produced by Abrid Shine, Action Hero Biju received overwhelming response in other parts of the country as well.
One of the main USP of Action Hero Biju was actor Navin Pauly who never fails to amaze the audiences with his choice of subjects and storyline. The film was another feather to his filmography. Touted as one of the finest actors of the Malayalam industry, he is known for his impeccable style and acting prowess.
Before he starred in Action Hero Biju, the actor rose to fame with the 2012 movie Thattathin Marayathu which went on to become the biggest hit of the year. He was also tagged as the “current youth sensation”, and after that there was no looking back for the star.
Action Hero Biju consolidated his position in the industry. The film won accolades from the audiences and the actor was lauded for the storyline and his performance in the film. It was a superhit film and won critical acclaim for his performance as SI Biju Paulose. Unlike a typical cop film, it was story that portrayed the life of a policeman in reality. And now it seems that Nivin Pauly’s fans have a reason to rejoice. It has been learnt that director Abrid Shine is all set for a sequel of the film. Rumours were rife lately that filmmaker Abrid was working on the idea for a sequel to Action Hero Biju.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Nivin Pauly has just wrapped up his film Padayottam and his next release will be Thuramukham which has been directed by well-known filmmaker Rajeev Ravi. He will also be seen joining forces with Manju Warrier for the first time in debutant director Liju Krishna’s Padavettu.
