The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards show recently took place on 14 March 2021. Amid the ongoing pandemic, the most awaited music awards ceremony of the year still brought the most amazing experience for the audiences.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo
The first name in The list of South African Grammy winners is none other than Ladysmith Black Mambazo. LBM is one of the most prolific recording bands in South Africa. 1988, the group won the Best Traditional Folk Recording at Grammy Award for the album Shaka Zulu.
The band continued to add another feather into their cap when continuously took home four more Grammy trophies.
In 2004, they received the second award, The Traditional World Music Award, for Raise Your Spirit Higher. He was also the winner at Grammy in 2009, 2013, and 2018.
Soweto Gospel Choir
Along with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Soweto Gospel Choir is also considered South African pride when it comes to global awards ceremonies. The list of South African Grammy winners cannot complete without mentioning them.
The gospel group had two times winning Grammy awards. In 2007, they became the second name from South Africa winning a Grammy award. The group was honored with The Best Traditional World Music Album.
They continued to have back-to-back success as Soweto Gospel Choir took home the second Grammy award in the next year, 2008. Not just this, in 2019, they won their third Grammy award for the Best World Music Album, 'Freedom'.
