It’s no secret that the highly awaited musical event MTV Video Music Awards 2019 was jam-packed with a lot of mesmerizing performances from some of the most prominent artists of the world. The audiences were hands down given a treat last night and perhaps they all couldn’t get enough of them.
Taylor Swift: You Need To Calm Down/ Lover
Taylor Swift kicked off the show with two new singles You Need to Calm Down which then won the award of Video of The Year and the theme song from her newly released album Lover.

Lizzo kept the show going on fire with a medley of two hits Good As Hell and Truth Hurts which are ruling many leading music charts. Her amazing performance had many star-studded audiences up on their feet.

It was also the newly reformed boy group Jonas Brothers received for their performance of Only Human and Sucker.
Miley Cyrus: Slide Away
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus came back to the show with her emotional performance. In the wake of the much-talked-about breakup with Liam Hemsworth, the singer performed her new track, Slide Away.
Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello: Señorita
Rumoured couple Shawn and Camila brought a mushy performance on the stage of VMAs this year.
Lil Nas X: Panini
Bringing home the trophy of "Song of The Year" for the chartbuster Old Town Road, the young talent Lil Nas X left everyone stunned when not bring this song onto the stage. However, Panini still won the hearts of millions of audiences.
Normani: Motivation
The former Fifth Harmony member Normani rounded out the show with her new song, Motivation.
Well, perhaps the VMAs this year did feature several fantastic performances. Every so often in the long ceremony, something lighted up the stage and made everyone remember why we have to watch this show every year.
