Netflix is undeniably successful in its game. It seems like it couldn’t get much better for Netflix when the company bid for Zac Efron’s latest Ted Bundy movie titled Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and ultimately won.
Original Story, February 4, 2019
Zac Efron's Ted Bundy movie - Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile - has been on all over the news and social media since its premiere at Sundance Film Festival. The movie tells the real-life story of a criminal named Ted Bundy. He is an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, who kidnapped, tortured and murdered many young females during the '70s. Although the movie has received a lot of positive feedback from critics, there are still some negative comments for its content. While for some people, the film is like praising the cold-blooded criminal, others hold an opposite point of view.
Despite the controversy, everybody is very eager to know when they will publish the movie.
Netflix Won Movie Bidding For Rs 900 crore
The good news is we don’t have to wait to see which company would purchase the movie anymore (of course there’s still be some times ahead for us to see the film literally). According to a source, $9 million (Rs 900 crore) is the final number that Netflix has to spend on buying Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Eventually, Netflix has successfully won the bidding war for the movie after competing with Lionsgate and STX.
Remember that Netflix has also aired another Ted Bundy movie called Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes by the same director Joe Berlinger. But just because Netflix has purchased the film, doesn’t mean that audiences will be able to see Ted Bundy starring Zac Efron immediately. It seems like we have to wait until fall for the movie to be available on Netflix as Zac will get a better chance for awards season next year. The musical movie star is likely to win some awards if you - the viewers - are buying into the hype.
The Movie Will Hit The Theatre On May
Although after successfully buy the movie, Netflix has not made any announcement for the specific time to air Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. You will still be able to watch the Ted Bundy movie of Zac released by Sky Cinemas on May 3 in the UK.
