As most of us are living in a fast pace of life, we sometimes forget our source of energy. Mahashivratri is a festival celebrated for the sake of remembering and taking our awareness to the basis of existence. On this night, the planet’s northern hemisphere is positioned in a way that there will be a natural upsurge of energy in human beings. In order to make use of it, people establish a festival which is nightlong as an annual tradition. To allow the upsurge of energy, remaining awake with the spine vertical throughout the night is a must of the nightlong festival.
