Netflix Warn Of Danger After Bird Box Challenge Takes Over The Internet

The recent thriller Netflix film has inspired another Internet mad challenge and this time the streaming giant has to raised the alarm. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
Yesterday, Netflix issued advisories warning to Bird Box’s fan after some people took up bird box challenge and got injured. The crazy challenge inspired by Netflix movie is now taking the Internet by storm.
“Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes,” Netflix publicly announced on their official Twitter account.
Bird Box is a psychological thriller starring a single mother (Sandra Bullock) who tries to protect her children from invisible threats. A noteworthy feature in the film is that the survivors have to wear a blindfold to avoid seeing mysterious ‘monsters’ that cause them to commit suicide.
Therefore, even performing a daily task such as driving, walking etc, people always blindfold themselves.
As the film has created internet frenzy, it also inspired people to mimic the character in Bird Box. Some moviegoers then shared a video of themselves trying #birdboxchallenge even for 24-hours while doing everyday activities such as walking in the streets with a blindfold.
However, this challenge is officially discouraged as it can cause serious injury. Watch videow below:
