Twitter has recently witnessed a war of words between Lady Gaga’s new film and the upcoming Sony’s movie - Venom. Both films will open in theaters on the same day.
Fake negative reviews
The Just Dance singer stars in A Star Is Born, a movie which has received rave reviews from the critics. And now rumors suspected that Gaga's loyal fans posted negative reviews on Tom Hardy’s “Venom” to promote A Star Is Born to the top of the weekend box office and trash Venom premiere.
Some Twitter users noticed these critics used the same exact words, just copying and pasting. Many tweets wrote,
Besides that, Gaga’s fans were also responsible for driving Ed Sheeran off Twitter. Gaga has repeatedly asked her fans to stop.
By contrast, those who are rooting for the Sony comic-book film have taken to same tactics to fight back. They took revenge on A Star Is Born by starting to spam about this film and said that movie-goers would be better off watching the Tom Hardy film instead. A fan of Venom tweeted.
At the very beginning, Venom was panned by genuine critics and rated as a “complete failure”. Meanwhile, A Star is Born is going head to head at the box office.
