Met Gala 2019 is around the corner! Take a look at the most unforgettable looks from the Met Gala off all time.
Every year, the biggest names in the world gather at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate and raise funds for its Costume Institute on the first Monday in May. This star-studded event has a unique theme, and this year it is "Camp: Notes on Fashion". Flamboyant and glittering gowns stick to the theme always are shown off on the red carpet - and many go down the fashion culture. Here are some of the most memorable looks at Met Gala of all time.
Rihanna, Met Gala 2018
Rihanna is already a Grammy-winning singer, burgeoning actress, ultra-generous philanthropist, makeup mogul-not to mention, a soon-to-be lingerie designer. She's also the unofficial queen of the Met Gala red carpet. And no surprise when the singer dressed like a real pope with a heavy beaded headdress; embroidered strapless mini dress; and long, show-stopping overcoat on the red carpet of Met Gala last year.
Priyanka Chopra, Met Gala 2018
The Internet gave Priyanka Chopra full point for staying true to the exhibit's theme - "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" in the same year. She walked the coveted red carpet donning a maroon and gold dress designed by Ralph Lauren which featured an intricately beaded and jeweled hood handcrafted, and she looked no less than a goddess.
Blake Lively, Met Gala 2018
Last year, Gossip Girls actress rocked the red carpet and made one of the best looks in the history of Met Gala with a crimson gown from Versace. Topping off the already dramatic look, Blake Lively wore a spiked headpiece that made her look like an actual angel.
Katy Perry, Met Gala 2018
Gigi Hadid, Met Gala 2018
Priyanka Chopra, Met Gala 2017
At 2017 Met Gala, the Bollywood-turned-Hollywood star stole all the spotlight with a famous trench coat which featured a dramatic train designed by Ralph Lauren. With a popped collar, smokey eyes, messy top-knotted hairdo, and sculptural earrings, Chopra's look channeled Inspector Gadget in just about the chicest and sexist way possible.
