Priyanka Chopra looked stunning in a monochrome gown as she walked the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival red carpet with her co-star Farhan Akhtar and director Shonali Bose on Friday for the world premiere of her forthcoming movie The Sky Is Pink.
This beautiful number reminded us of Aishwarya Rai's Cannes 2015 Ralph and Russo gown so let's find out who aced the look better.
PeeCee’s monochrome strapless dress belonged to Marchesa’s Fall 2019 collection. What made the dress stand out was the black satin belt on the waist, which turned into an impressive bow on the back. She kept her accessories to minimal to make sure the attention stays on her outfit. Nude lips, peachy blush, and winged eyeliner worked wonder with the entire outfit.
On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai turned heads at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival in a similar gown by Ralph and Russo. Her gorgeous attire featured ruffle detailing and black floral patterns. With her hair perfectly worn down in soft curls, the stunner topped off her look with subtle makeup and diamond earrings and rings.
It goes without saying that both Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai effortlessly pulled off the monochrome strapless gowns in their own ways and made everyone swoon over her charm and beauty.
Talking about Priyanka Chopra’s movie, The Sky Is Pink is inspired by the life story of Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Directed by Shonali Bose, the film also features Farhan Akhtar, Rohit Saraf and Zaira Wasim in the key roles and will release in India on 11 October.
