From Priyanka Chopra To Deepika Padukone, Bollywood Celebrities Shine Brightly On Met Gala Red Carpet

One of the biggest fashion events of this year, Met Gala 2020, also known as the "Oscars of the East Coast” makes shocking headlines for its cancellation. Remember other years when the event attracted all the attention for its over-the-top costumes, fans got thrilled by every look of their favorite stars, including Bollywood actresses.

The Met Gala marks one of the most sought-after soirées of the year on the fashion fundraising calendar. Daring gowns, loud makeup, and over the top accessories, the Gala is never boring. 2020's the exhibition was supposed to revolve around, "About Time: Fashion and Duration".

For Indian social media users, the Met Gala in recent years has been of increased interest because two leading ladies of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have made their way on the prestigious red carpet. It was scheduled for May 4 earlier but due to the growing pandemic of coronavirus, the event has been postponed indefinitely. Since no celebrity will walk down the red carpet in 2020, here's a throwback to some iconic moment of tinsel tower celebs from the fashion show.

Priyanka Chopra Met Gala looks

Priyanka Chopra made her debut on the Oscar red carpet in 2016, and she walked away with a record to show for it. Though it was the first time of her on the prestigious event, the Bollywood actress rocked it like a pro! Channeling her dream sequence in a sheer white off-shoulder gown, the former Miss World looked stunning.

Priyanka is known to make noise at international red carpets when it comes to standing out with her looks. And the Quantico babe did not disappoint as she set the temperatures soaring at the 2017 Met Gala in a bold Ralph Lauren trench coat gown. The long, long, never-ending trail of her gown got its own limelight. Chopra kept her look edgy with mid-length black boots and silver sculpted earrings.

The stunning Priyanka again spelled magic at Met Gala 2018 in a dramatic Ralph Lauren number. The maroon velvet gown came with some heavy embellishments covering her head to shoulder. With golden sparkles for eye-shadow and a deep red lip-color to go with her gown, she looked every bit a part of the theme - MetHeavenlyBodies.

For Met Gala 2019, Priyanka made it to the best-dressed celebrities along with Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Kim Kardashian. The lady opted for a Dior Haute Couture silver gown with colorful and vibrant feathered ruffles coupled with a matching cape.

While her outfit stole all the limelight, her makeup made her sparkle the best among the rest. Priyanka had her eyebrows colored in white with loud pink-silver eye makeup and raspberry lips.

Deepika Padukone Met Gala looks

The dimpled beauty made her Met Gala debut in 2017 and she was a sight to behold in a white slip-dress by Tommy Hilfiger that accentuated her tall slender frame to perfection. Deepika had accessorized her front-slit attire with a floral-studded headband, and matching earrings and tied a low bun.

In 2018, Deepika turned the heads around with her bold red draped outfit paired with red heels and completed with a red pout. With the bold color making a huge style statement and just a pair of diamond danglers with red matching peep toes, Queen Padukone let her attire do all the talking.

The leggy-beauty made a smashing style statement at the coveted red carpet of Met Gala 2019, as she nailed a retro Barbie look. She donned a Zac Posen custom gown of pink lurex Jacquard, embellished with three-dimensional printed pieces. She topped her look with a much like Audrey's hairdo with a studded headband.
