Tiger Shroff Confirmed For Sequel To His Debut Film “Heropanti”

Tiger Shroff, who will shortly be seen in Baaghi 3 alongside Shraddha Kapoor, is set to be the face of yet another franchise from Sajid Nadiadwala Entertainment. The action star has been confirmed to headline the leading production house’s next franchise film, titled Heropanti 2. As the title aptly suggests, Heropanti 2 is a sequel to the 2014 action entertainer Heropanti, which launched Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in Bollywood.

Tiger Shroff took to social media to share pictures while making the announcement. The actor wrote that this one is so special to him and that he is blessed and grateful to be carrying forward another franchise with his mentor Sajid Nadiadwala. Both the posters show Tiger Shroff in an action mode, dressed in a black pantsuit with a red tie and holding a machine gun. One poster also has several guns pointed at the star.

Heropanti, directed by Sabbir Khan, was a romantic action thriller produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie was a Hindi remake of immensely successful Telugu film Parugu (2008). Powered with jaw-dropping action sequences, foot-tapping music and convincing performances, the remake turned out to be a great success at the box-office. Heropanti 2 will be directed by choreographer-turned-filmmaker Ahmed Khan, who has also directed Baaghi 2 and Baaghi 3 featuring Tiger Shroff.

The official announcement of Heropanti 2 has prompted several cinephiles to wonder if the upcoming film is an unofficial remake of Keanu Reeves’ popular John Wick movie series. Both the posters look similar, as well as the messaging that pits the lead character against an entire army of villains who want him dead. Well, it will be interesting to see how the makers respond to comparisons being made by the fans.

Heropanti 2 is slated to buzz into theatres on 16^th July 2021.
