The FIRST Look Of Deepika Padukone As Romi Dev For '83 Is OUT Now!

After quite a long wait, the first look of Deepika Padukone as Romi Dev for the Kapil Dev biopic has finally come to the surface. It is worth the wait as Deepika can be seen looking just like the captain’s wife with an uncanny resemblance.

As can be seen in the picture, Deepika was standing side by side with her reel and real-life husband Ranveer Singh and they were looking at each other endearingly.

Posting her first look as Romi Dev for ’83, Deepika Padukone said she is ecstatic to be portraying a small yet very important role in the story which is an epitome in the sport's history. In the photo, while Deepika puts on a similar hairstyle and clothes as the cricketer’s wife, Ranveer can be seen donning a navy blue blazer of the Indian Team.

Also, Deepika mentioned in her note that she has had a chance to see closely how the support of a wife can be useful for a man who has committed professional aspirations. Some time ago, Deepika mentioned in a talk that the actress can relate herself to the character of Romi Dev when she sees her mother having Prakash Padukone - her father’s back all the time.

It is sure that DeepVeer’s fans are elated to see them on the screens together again, especially when it will be their first collab after they tied the knot.

For the unversed, Ranveer and Deepika are going to be seen as the famous couple Kapil and Romi for ’83. Earlier, team 1983 remaining members’ posters were posted on the Internet and movie as well as sports lovers are thrilled to see the huge sports event getting remade on the big screens.

The movie features other stars such as Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khatter, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Chirag Patil and more under the skin of the cricketers in Kapil’s team 1983. The movie is said to release on April 10.
