Taapsee Pannu Reveals Shooting For Saand Ki Aankh Is The Biggest Challenge, Hoping To Get Through The Day

Tushar Hiranandani’s upcoming biopic drama Saand Ki Aankh has been making headlines recently. Staring Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu, the film promotion is so creative that it has triggered the audience’s curiosity on characters Chandro and Prakashi. On Tuesday, the maker dropped the official poster of the film which immediately became the hottest topic of the day. While the intriguing poster is doing rounds on the internet, Taapsee Pannu has come to a revelation that her role in Saand Ki Aankh is the most challenging she has encountered so far.

The Most Requiring Role In Her Acting Career

With star performances she has given in films like from Pink, Manmarziyaan, Mulk and many others, we wonder how this biopic can challenge our talented actress. In facts, just like her previous film, Saand Ki Aankh is another women-oriented film which praises women’s effort in the battle against the odds.“I think women with a spine will always be a common thing in my films, be it Badla or Saand Ki Aankh,” said Taapsee. She also claimed that this role is the most requiring one during her 8-year-long career.

She Had To Create The Character 'Out Of Nothing'

In this upcoming biopic, the 31-year-old actress and her co-star Bhumi Pednekar will be seen as 60-year-old female shooters. According to Taapsee, they had to hold each other’s hands before every shoot hoping to get by smoothly. Every single day is extremely challenging for the two actresses.

In addition to that, the Manmarziyaan actress said that she usually links her characters with her personal life and personality traits to portray it in the most realistic way. However, she had no idea how to perform the role in Saand Ki Aankh. It’s really a huge challenge to create the character “out of nothing”.

They have to fight against their own house and the society to make it a better place for not only their grand-daughters but women living in a male-dominated society.

Basing on a true story, the movie is a bold statement of women’s triumph over spirit and faith. Saand Ki Aankh features Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles and is helmed by director Tushar Hiranandani. The release date hasn’t been announced yet but it will hit the theatre soon this year.
