Taapsee Pannu In Talks To Join Ayushmann Khurrana’s “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan”

If Taapsee Pannu agrees to come onboard, “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” will mark her first collaboration with immensely talented Ayushmann Khurrana.

Rumors are rife that Taapsee Pannu is set to join forces with Ayushmann Khurrana for Colour Yellow Productions’ next offering, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The film is a sequel to the 2017 hit Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, which starred Ayushmann Khurrana opposite Bhumi Pednekar.

A leading English tabloid reports that Taapsee Pannu was seen leaving the Andheri office of filmmaker Aanand L Rai. Rai is bankrolling the sequel under his banner, Colour Yellow Productions. Pannu’s presence at his office has sparked rumors if the two are collaborating for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.

While Shubh Mangal Saavdhan revolved around the issue of erectile dysfunction, its sequel sheds light on a homosexual relationship between two men. Ayushmann Khurrana, who is always known for taking up diverse and challenging characters, plays a homosexual man in the movie.

The makers are currently looking for an actor who could play Khurrana’s love interest in the much-talked-about film. Actor Divyendu Sharma’s name was doing the rounds lately, but sources close to the development reveal that Sharma is not a part of the project.

While the search for the second male lead is still on, the makers seem to have locked Taapsee Pannu to play the female lead in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. If the actress signs the project on the dotted line, it will mark her maiden collaboration with Ayushmann Khurrana. More details on the development are awaited.

Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu is currently working on filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s production venture Saand Ki Aankh. Also starring Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role, the film is set to enter theatres around Diwali. The actress also has several other films on her platter right now, including Tadka, Game Over and Mission Mangal.

Ayushmann Khurrana, on the other hand, will shortly be seen in director Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15. His other upcoming projects include Dream Girl and Bala.
