Shalini Pandey To Romance Ranveer Singh In “Jayeshbhai Jordaar”

Bollywood newcomer Shalini Pandey is set to enter the Hindi cinema with Yash Raj Films’ much-talked-about project Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which stars superstar Ranveer Singh in the lead role. While Singh came onboard much before, Shalini Pandey has just joined the star cast of the film, after a few weeks of speculations.

If you are a true film enthusiast, chances are high that you are already familiar with her work. Shalini Pandey shot to overnight fame when her Telugu film Arjun Reddy (2017), opposite hot and handsome Vijay Deverakonda, turned out to be a massive blockbuster at the cash counter. Later, the film was remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor, and that too inflamed the box-office with its collections.

The actress was last seen in Tamil film 100% Kadhal (2019). She is presently looking forward to the release of her next Nishabdham, a film which celebrates women empowerment. She will soon start shooting for her debut Hindi film Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is being made under the banner of ash Raj Films. Filmmaker Maneesh Sharma will bankroll the film for the leading production house. Talking about what led him to sign Shalini Pandey in his film, Sharma says that his script and the vision of the film demanded a fresh face for the leading lady’s part.

Shalini Pandey’s audition was so spontaneous and nuanced that they knew immediately that she was the right person for the part. The filmmaker added that Shalini Pandey is an assured actor with a refreshing presence, and they have real confidence in backing her talent.
