Ranveer Singh To Headline Yash Raj Films’ Rib-Tickling Comedy “Jayeshbhai Jordaar”

Ranveer Singh, who is presently in London for his much-awaited movie “83”, has bagged yet another exciting project, titled “Jayeshbhai Jordaar”. Debutant Divyang Thakkar is directing it for Yash Raj Films.

Ranveer Singh is undoubtedly one of the most successful actors that we have today in Bollywood. All his recent films have done bumper business at the box-office. Be it Padmaavat (2018), Simmba (2018) or Gully Boy (2019), the multi-talented actor has proved his mettle in all kinds of films. Singh, who is currently in London for Kabir Khan’s 83, has now added one more interesting project to his profile.

Ranveer Singh has given his nod to Yash Raj Films’ next offering, titled Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The film will be an out-and-out comic-caper with Ranveer Singh tickling audiences’ bones like never before. Debutant Divyang Thakkar is directing the flick, while filmmaker Maneesh Sharma is producing it for Yash Raj Films.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar reunites Ranveer Singh with Maneesh Sharma after a huge gap of 8 years. The duo last worked together on Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl in 2011. Interestingly, Ranveer and Maneesh both started their career with Yash Raj Films’ Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), which was a huge hit at the box-office.

Talking about Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer Singh tells an Indian daily,

Besides 83 and Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer Singh will also be seen in Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Takht. Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, Takht is a period drama set to roll towards the end of the year. The movie is slated to release in 2020.
