Rajkummar Rao Signs Up To Headline A Comedy Of Errors?

Rajkummar Rao, who was most recently seen in “Made In China”, has been approached to headline a comedy of errors to be produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Rajkummar Rao was last seen in Made In China (2019) which did not work at the box-office. The actor is not at all perturbed by the failure of the movie and is currently looking forward to 2020 where some of his most awaiting movies will be hitting the silver screen in quick succession.

The latest we hear that the National Film Award winning actor has been approached to topline a comedy of errors.

Raaj Shaandilyaa, who made his directorial debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Dream Girl has written the script of the forthcoming project. He is planning to co-produce it with well-known producer Ronnie Screwvala. Rajkummar Rao has been approached to play the male lead in it and, according to reports, the actor has shown his interest the script.

The film will be directed by debutant filmmaker Ishrat R Khan. He has previously assisted well-known filmmaker Anees Bazmee on a series of successful films such as Deewangee (2002), No Entry (2005), Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015). He also assisted Raaj Shaandilyaa on his debut film Dream Girl.

Sharing some more details, a source close to the development informs a publication that when Ronnie, Raaj and Ishrat narrated the script to Raj, he loved the comedy of errors. He has already given his nod to the project and the formalities will be completed by January.

The source goes on to add that Rajkummar Rao fits the character like a glove and everyone is hopeful about getting him on board. The untitled film is expected to mount the shooting floor in mid-2020, and the makers are looking at releasing it later in the year.
