Mahesh Manjrekar In, Jackie Shroff Out Of “Mumbai Saga”

Mahesh Manjrekar has come onboard to replace actor Jackie Shroff in filmmaker Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming gangster drama “Mumbai Saga”, also starring John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi.

Mahesh Manjrekar has been signed on to replace actor Jackie Shroff in filmmaker Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming gangster drama Mumbai Saga. Also starring John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty and Gulshan Grover in important roles, the project was announced a couple of months ago.
When Jackie Shroff walked out of the project due to date issues, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta contacted his good friend and frequent collaborator Mahesh Manjrekar to come onboard. As the filmmaker explained the entire situation to Manjrekar, he readily agreed to play Maharashtrian political bigwig in the gangster drama. The much-awaited movie explores the police, underworld, industrialists and millowners nexus in the ’80s.

Mahesh will start shooting for the film next week. He will go on political rallies with 5000 junior artistes. The actor-filmmaker will also share the screen space with John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi.
