Starring John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles, “Satyamev Jayate” hit screens last year. Now, the makers are planning a sequel to the film, which will reunite actress-turned-filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar with John.

Satyamev Jayate, one of the most successful films of John Abraham, is set to have a sequel. Co-starring Manoj Bajpayee and Aisha Sharma in principal roles, the vigilant action entertainer was a Milap Zaveri directorial. It set the box-office on fire upon its release, despite clashing with superstar Akshay Kumar’s sports drama Gold (2018).

John Abraham, who largely received a positive response for his performance in the film, will return to headline Satyamev Jayate 2. Actress-turned-filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar has come onboard to play his leading lady in the sequel.

Divya, who began her acting career with the 2004 war-drama Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon, has acted in only one film so far. Satyamev Jayate 2 will be her second outing which also marks her comeback as an actress.

For the uninitiated, Divya Khosla Kumar is married to T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar and has directed two successful films – Yaariyan (2014) and Sanam Re (2016) – for the banner. She was recently seen in a short film called Bulbul. Fans will surely be excited to see her back on the silver screen again.

Reportedly, Milap Zaveri has locked the final draft of Satyamev Jayate 2 and is currently working on other details before taking the project to the floor. The director is planning to begin production right after the release of his upcoming directorial venture, Marjaavaan, which has Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Riteish Deshmukh fronting the cast. Marjaavaan is set to enter theatres on 2nd October.
