Happy Birthday Sidharth Malhotra: The Master Of Multi-starrers Has Two Promising Movies This Year

Sidharth Malhotra, who stepped foot in Bollywood in 2012 with the film Student of the Year, celebrates his 34th birthday today. Throughout his 6-year acting career, the handsome actor has starred in nine movies. He delivered noteworthy performances in popular multi-starrers including Ek Villain and Kapoor and Sons, which crossed the 1-billion-rupee mark in the box office.

However, Sidharth’s other solo movies such as A Gentleman featuring Jacqueline Fernandez and Baar Baar Dekho starring Katrina Kaif failed to impress the audiences. His forthcoming two movies are expected to be a game changer for the actor this year.

The Delhi-bred actor will be next seen in Jabariya Jodi”, co-starring with Parineeti Chopra. The movie is based upon the tradition of groom kidnapping, prevalent in Bihar where grooms are kidnapped to prevent dowry. Sidharth and Parineeti previously worked together in Hasee Toh Phasee, which performed well at the domestic office with the collection of about 370 million rupees and became one of the most successful solo movies of the actor. The duo is expected to repeat this success in the second collaboration. Jabariya Jodi is set to hit the cinema on 17^th May.

Sidharth Malhotra is also gearing up for another forthcoming film named Marjaavan. Helmed by filmmaker Milap Zaveri, this action thriller is one of the highest grossing movies of Sidharth. It also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh, and Tara Sutaria and is slated to hit the silver screen on 2nd October, the Gandhi Jayanti. Going with a tagline “love worth dying for”, this movie will be one thrilling game of death and love.
