Dil Bechara trailer

Witnessing the debut of newbie Sanjana Sanghi, the trailer shows Sushant smiling in almost all frames. In a frame, we see he states “I am a fighter.” Meanwhile, in another, the late actor says something that is bound to resonate with all fans:

“Janam kab lena hai aur marna kab hai, Hum decide nahi kar sakte. Par kaise jeena hai, vo hum decide kar sakte hain (We don’t get to decide when we’re born or when we die. But we do get to decide how we live our life.)”

Dil Bechara is said to be a painfully beautiful artwork. Sushant’s tragic step to his life broke millions of hearts and his suicide has also spread aggression among the netizens who constantly blamed nepotism (mostly), favoritism, lobbying, and bullying in Bollywood.

However, his smiles in the film seem to repair many broken hearts at the moment. Ironically, the trailer can perfectly highlight the uncertainties of life and the abruptness of death.

The film is based on a best-selling book

The fact is that Dil Bechara is Indian dramatization of John Green’s “The Fault in Our Stars”. Those who already read the novel might know that the story is about living life to the fullest, chasing dreams, and not worrying too much about tomorrow and not afraid of experiencing love either.

The story

As its title suggest, the film Dil Bechara will take the audience on an emotional journey of two young people hopelessly in love with each other. The young girl named Kizzie is suffering from cancer while the boy, Manny, is a member of the support group. They jointly explore the funny, tragic, and thrilling adventure of love and being alive.

The cast

Other than Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi, the film Dil Bechara also features Swastika Mukherjee, Milind Gunaji, Sahil Vaid, and Jaaved Jaafer in the important roles. The audience will also see Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan in the cameo role.

Dil Bechara marks the debut of 1996-born actress Sanjana Sanghi

Even though the film marks the debut of young actress Sanjana Sanghi, she was actually seen in different films before like Hindi Medium, Fukrey Returns, and Rockstar. Sanjana is also a part of several TVCs.

Development

Interestingly, Dil Bechara is not only the debut film of newcomer Sanjana Sanghi but also the director Mukesh Chhabra. In October 2017, Mukesh launched the film and made his directorial debut.

Music composer A. R. Rahman was suspended from his service because he was accused of sexual harassment in October 2018. This led to the delay of the final schedule as well as the completion of post-production.

The rename of the film from Kizie Aur Manny to Dil Bechara was said to embody the theme perfectly. It was picked from the lyrics of a track in the film.

Dil Bechara will be the last gift that Sushant Singh Rajput gave to his fans. Let him rest in peace!
