Arjun Kapoor is waiting for a box-office hit. His last two films - Namaste England (2018) and India’s Most Wanted (2019) - failed to hit the right chord with the audience, denting his image as one of the most bankable stars of Bollywood.
However, the young actor has some interesting films on his platter right now. If they work commercially well at the ticket window, no one can stop him from coming back in the reckoning once again.
In the meantime, we have heard that Arjun Kapoor has been finalized to play the lead antagonist in a sequel to the 2014 musical hit Ek Villain. The original movie, produced by Ekta Kapoor, starred Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles.
Deshmukh received great response for his villainous act in the film. Now, five years after the release of Ek Villain, Arjun Kapoor is set to step into the dark zone with Ek Villain 2.
However, there is no update on the casting of Siddharth Malhotra in the sequel.
Filmmaker Mohit Suri, who is currently busy directing Malang, will return to call the shots for Ek Villain 2 as well.
The actor is presently awaiting the release of his much-awaited historical drama Panipat, co-starring Kriti Sanon, Sanjay Dutt and Mohnish Bahl.
