After India's match against New Zealand team was cancelled due to constant rain, Big B jokes that its location should be shifted to India.
Yesterday, the cricket match between Indian and New Zealand team was washed out owing to persistent heavy rain. Amitabh Bachchan then has some funny line about the championship as "we need the rain".
After the match's cancellation, fans throughout the country took to social media to express their frustration. Trending on social media now is hashtag #ShameOnICC as fans think the tournament was not organized properly. Below are the fans' reaction:
A fan wrote: “Shame on #ICC for organizing such an important tournament at such a time when half the matches are getting washed away! Get a life folks, and concentrate on the right timing of the tournament rather than on the right “glove” of #Dhoni!!! #WorldCup2019”. Amitabh Bachchan then responded the post, saying: “shift the tournament WC 2019 to India .. we need the rain .. !!!”
Amitabh Bachchan was last seen with Taapsee Pannu in Sujoy Ghosh's Badla. Recently, the veteran actor just wrapped up shooting film Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The superhero film under the direction of Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar is slated for summer 2020.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for his Tamil debut film, Uyarntha Manithan, in which he stars alongside SJ Surya and Ramya Krishnan. He will also make Marathi debut with film AB Ani CD directed by Milind Lele along with Vikram Gokhale and Sayali Sanjeev.
