Actor Shahbaz Khan Booked For Molesting 19 Year Old Girl

Popular television and film actor Shahbaz Khan was booked by the Mumbai police in an alleged molestation case of a 19 year old girl. Shahbaz's real name is Haider Khan and he is the son of Padma Bhushan awardee Ustad Amir Khan, a classical vocalist. Shahbaz, who has worked in many Hindi and regional films along with a Chinese film named 'Dying to Survive' is also known for his work in TV shows.
The Oshiwara police have registered a case of molestation after a teenage girl approached the police to register a case against the actor. The police is yet to make any arrest in the case. The 50 year old actor has been booked under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and section 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
A senior police officer privy to investigations said, "The complainant is a resident of Andheri. She has alleged that in the month of 1 February upto 12 February the actor molested the 19 year old girl. The victim is a teacher and we recorded her verbal statement. We are investigating the entire incident. We will investigate the case before making arrest." Sources have revealed that Shahbaz Khan will apply for anticipatory bail to avoid arrest by the police. A statement from actor Shahbaz Khan is expected in a couple of days. The actor has been seen in TV shows such as Tenali Rama, Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush and Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali. Shahbaz Khan is popular for his villainous roles on the small and big screens.
