Aamir Khan In Himachal Pradesh To Shoot “Laal Singh Chaddha”

Aamir Khan will be seen sporting several avatars in his next film “Laal Singh Chaddha”. Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, the movie is a remake of Hollywood biggie “Forrest Gump”.

Aamir Khan is going all out for his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha. Last seen in Yash Raj Films’ Thugs of Hindostan (2018), the superstar did not have any release in 2019. Laal Singh Chaddha, which he announced on his 54th birthday, is set to arrive in theatres on Christmas 2020.

After shooting a long schedule of the film in Panjab, Aamir Khan has now reached Himachal Pradesh to shoot the next schedule of the movie. The film is being shot in the Rampur town of Himachal Pradesh. As soon as local residents and passers-by got to know that superstar Aamir Khan is in the town shooting for his film, they rushed to get a glimpse of him. Khan welcomed all his fans and even obliged them by taking out time to pose for selfies.

Laal Singh Chaddha started rolling in the last week of October, 2019. So far, Aamir Khan has wrapped up several outdoor schedules for the movie, including ones in Chandigarh and other locations in Punjab.

Besides Aamir Khan, Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan. The duo is reuniting after a huge gap of eight years, their last film being Talaash in 2012. Tamil star Sethupathi is also essaying an important role in the film.

For the uninitiated, Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump (1994), originally starring Hollywood star Tom Hanks in the lead role. The screenplay for the Hindi remake has been prepared by writer-actor Atul Kulkarni. Secret Superstar (2017) fame Advait Chandan is directing the film. In addition to playing the lead role, Aamir Khan is also co-producing the project along with Viacom18 Motion Pictures. The film releases on Christmas 2020.
